must....stop....planning.........stuff!!

Aargh!  Quickly check facebook before going on lunch and see Viona's latest post - Sarabande II - squeeee!  Baroque /rococo themed, for which i have the fabric and planned to make a dress for in the near future.

However, its on June 25th.  So soon after Leipzig that there would be no time for me to make anything.  Still hasn't stopped me from checking up on hotels/prices though.

If i don't sleep between now and June, it might be feasible, might be able to make all my WGT outfits and one for Sarabande!

Do you ever wear anything twice? *grin*

Occasionally, in the event of emergency! ;-)

In honesty though, I never used to wear dresses for that reason, preferring separates that I could mix and match rather than looking like I'm wearing the "same old thing" again! However, making clothes for all these costume balls has given me a taste for doing more themed outfits. Going to have to stop soon before i run out of space!!

hardly any hotels available either. Think there must be something going on that weekend. :-(

OOh, I wish I could afford to go!

If anyone you know needs a new costume we give good 18th Century at Jolly Dicey! Lots of eyecandy on the website too.

If you can get there by car it is surprisingly cheap to do. We drove out Saturday and came back Sunday last time but hotels do seem to be an issue this year. :-(

It is such a lovely event though, the venue is fantastic and everyone makes such an effort to dress the part.

I really would like to go to Sarabande this year, but still have to discuss it at home. I'm probably the only one who wants to go :D. And we still haven't decided if we're going to Leipzig or not.

Are you planning to make the striped 18th century gown for Sarabande, the fabric you posted about recently?

In theory I'd have liked to make the gown but I've no time - a very busy couple of months coming up and so much to make for Leipzig! Also the striped fabric is more suited for a winter gown, as its quite dark.
So if we do decide to go to Sarabande, I'll have to try to put something together which doesn't require too much to do, which would be very frustrating!

I have sort of persuaded Rob that we could do Sarabande, as long as we didn't have to book any time off work and could do it on as much a budget as possible!
