LOH Sunday Part 3
next stop was somewhere i pass every day but never really considered it, being a rather odd looking post-modernist building en-route to all the beautiful Victorian Museums, the Ismaili Centre.
Unfortunately we were only allowed to take pics in the entrance lobby and roof garden but it was a fascinating place. 80's post-modernism cleverly
utilised to make the most of the limited space and allow for the Centre's faith and cultural beliefs.

Audrey with a rather striking new head adornment! ;-)

we were even given free coffee and biscuits at the end! A very friendly and welcoming lot.
Next we went round the corner for the School of Psychic Studies.
Having missed the introduction at the entrance, I was a bit confused as to why we were led to the top floor and sat in a room - was that it?

soon a guide arrived and took us on a brief tour of the building and explaining about the history of the school and artworks. Architecturally not too interesting for me, as we have several buildings of this style at college but a fairly entertaining history.

Our final stop was the French Institute - how have I not noticed this Art Deco gem before!

we were given a detailed tour of the public areas, including the rather lovely preserved 1930s library

to finish off a busy day, we then headed off to my favourite pub, The Queens Arms for some yummy food and beers.
All my photos can be seen here
