Finally came home today to a warm flat, central heating all running properly again!
The engineer turned up with his supervisor today and it turned out, as I suspected, that the fault was caused by the initial engineer fitting the circuit board incorrectly.
The have also fitted a carbon monoxide detector and advised us that we will be billed £38 for this! I tried to get Rob to persuade them to throw it in as a goodwill gesture but no such luck.
Well, I will be writing to BG tonight, requesting compensation for the inconvenience we have endured plus the loss of practically a week's wages through waiting for engineers. Not expecting a satisfactory response but complaining is what I'm good at ;-)
Maybe now I can stop using LJ for my daily whinge and get back to life as normal.
