Phew! I'm dead on my feet from tired and understand how a lobster must feel from the heat, back at work in hot, sweltering London after a lovely weekend in Belgium (where, thankfully, it wasn't quite so hot!)
the 23 hour day on Saturday was a bit tough (awoke at 4.30 am to head to Dover for the ferry and didn't get back to our hotel room after the ball until gone 3am!) but it was worth it, to attend a ball in such beautiful surroundings.
We had a bleary-eyed Sunday in Bruges before heading back home on the evening ferry. Not sure how Rob managed the drive, let alone the lack of sleep, the sun came out in time for our journey home and it was scorching hot, with the sun in our face the whole time.
I have some photos in my camera (still amazed that a certain member of our party was able to upload hers to Facebook last night!) but to keep things in consecutive order, will continue my Leipzig/Dresden posts first.
