backtracking, as I didn't get time to do a full post on my Berlin trip last week.
Arrived in Berlin on the Thursday, our flight slightly delayed due to "issues" - wondering if it was anything to do with the latest news about that terrible Germanwings crash a few days before. As it was mid-afternoon by the time we got into town, we decided to stop at the wonderful Eiscafe Zanetti in the main station for "lunch" (spaghetti shaped icecream counts as lunch, right?). Continued on to Warschauer Strasse to check into our accommodation for the weekend. Great to be back!

It was soon time for the cocktail bar to be open, so we had a drink up on the deck before continuing with our usual arrival tradition of strolling over to Kreuzberg for a kebab at Hasir
As we'd purchased a travelcard, we decided to make the most of it and head across to Friedrichshain for a drink at the goth pub Pech und Schwefel. A cosy bar, with big comfy sofas, that just happens to be a goth pub, as opposed to a goth themed pub.

We ordered a couple of meads, forgetting just how big the serving was (no wonder i was so tipsy last time I came here!). Just stayed for the one drink, getting a little drowsy after all that sweet alcohol and a rather smokey atmosphere and got the tram back to our boat for a final coffee on the upper deck.
