Just beginning to recover from the visual feast that was Return of the King on Saturday. What a film - an apt ending to the series, the only disappointment being that it was the end of 3 years of anticipation; what have I got to look forward to now? (other than the DVD release that is!)
One of the highlights for me has to be Aragorn - Viggo Mortensen is so gorgeous in that film! I'll have to get Rob to practice wielding his sword to try to look as sexy!
It was a bit strange going to the cinema at 11am and coming out when it was getting dark outside - where did my day go? It didn't feel like 3.5 hours though, apart from my bladder screaming at me towards the end. Note to Warner cinema Finchley Road - you don't close the toilets for cleaning just as customers are leaving from a 3.5 hour film!
Had an interview from hell this morning at Snappy Snaps, Portobello Road. In fairness the job itself was OK and the staff and management friendly enough. I'm not prepared however to work a 45 hour week + unpaid overtime for just £12k p.a. - I'd rather stay unemployed!
The interview this afternoon though was so much better. It was to run a craft shop in Neasden Garden Centre. Basically I'd be paid to play with craft materials all day - wahey!! Don't know what the salary etc is yet as the owners husband wasn't around and he had all the paperwork. I also have to work out how I'd be able to get there on a daily basis - although its only about 4 miles (2 tube stops) from home, it does involve a reasonable walk down a quite country path, I guess I'll have to get the bike out again.
So, now its just to decide whether to take the job from hell just because its a job and I need one, or hold out to see what materialises with this crafts one. I'm leaning heavily towards the latter at present.
