Today's day off work probably wasn't really neccessary, as I got most of the housework done yesterday and not much left to do for my Gala Nocturna gown.
given the lovely sunny weather today, I should have made the most of the day and gone out but by the time I got my act together, it was too late.    Instead I did the final bit of decoration to my gown and by lunchtime I was finished, yay!
Still undecided about what to do with my hair - use one of my many tiaras or hats or make a new one - so instead spent the afternoon making braids which I hope to make into a hair band.

Couldn't feel motivated to continue with them in the evening, so after several hints from Rob, decided to pack the sewing desk away and watch one of the many subtitled films we've recorded over the past year.

The film we picked was Timecrimes.  The first surprise was that I appear to have recorded the wrong film (!) thinking at the time of the French time-travel comedy (which Rob later reminded me was called Visiteurs); instead had the worrying thought that I'd accidently settled down to a horror film.
The second surprise is that it was actually rather good!  Can't really say much about the plot, for fear of giving anything away, probably best to stumble into it as we did.   Basically it was a Spanish film about an ordinary middle aged man who accidently gets into a time machine and is sent back 90 minutes into the past.

Had a quick google after the film to find out more about what we watched, even more impressed to learn that it was a directorial debut.  Also in the process of being remade in the US for those people who don't like to read in the cinema - couldn't find much info about the remake, however I'd thoroughly recommend checking out the Spanish original.
