ready for Belgium!
5 March 2015 13:16All packed last night, ready for our annual pilgrimage to Belgium for Gala Nocturna. Now that the week is here, a little disappointed to not be returning to Antwerp, due to the change of venue but we have a big list of places to explore in Brussels, so it will be a new adventure!
Been stressing slightly about the numbers, more of us going from London every year and I think its over 20 this year! - not so easy to manage as the original group of 6 friends. Hoping its not going to be a stressful challenge trying to find places for everyone to eat and drink together. Always a difficult decision to juggle, do I want to explore the nooks and crannies of the city and cosy bars or socialise with friends, compromising on location as a consequence.
Hopefully it will all be fun in the end! :-)
Slightly stressing about my gown too. I am very happy with the end result but it is a very new style for me (18thC instead of Victorian), with the strange undergarments that go with it. I just hope it all holds together when at the ball, instead of swishing around my living room, and I don't end up a bedraggled mess!
Between us we've managed to pack 1x suitcase for my headdress, 1x rucksack for Rob's and the massive WGT suitcase for both our clothes! A lot of luggage for a 2 night trip!
