nearly the weekend and then a lovely short week next week - just in the office for two days, thanks to the extra Easter Closure dates (the joy of working in academia! :-) )
Last night we were thinking of going to see Sucker Punch but problems on my tube home meant that I got home too late to manage dinner and cinema. Hopefully will get there on Sunday or Tuesday next week!
Tonight, I was considering checking out the new club night Neo-noir Nostalgic nights but as we've an early start tomorrow, probably not sensible. :-)
Tomorrow, up bright and early to get to Kensington Olympia for the first slot of the day at the Dr Who Experience. squee! After the photos I've seen, am really looking forward to this. WW2 Daleks! :-)
Sunday, heading up the A1 to make use of my birthday present - a half-day falconry experience at the Old Warden Bird of Prey Centre squee again! Planning to make a day of it with picnic and visiting either the Swiss Garden or the Shuttleworth Collection while we're there.
Not sure what to wear for it. Ideally I wanted to wear something medieval, as that would look great with a bird on the arm; however they ask for practical clothing, so I guess that won't be acceptable attire.

Date: 15 Apr 2011 21:07 (UTC)Authentic medieval clothing IS practical! I mean medieval ladies managed. Something with tight sleeves and no train (and warm enough, though the weather forecast for the weekend is good) should be fine. And fun to swan around the Swiss Garden in and have pics taken. It's just bonkers, it's like the biggest folly in the world!
Have fun!

Date: 17 Apr 2011 22:19 (UTC)Wish I had dressed up a tad more however the website specified practical clothing and sturdy footwear. not sure why, as we didn't go anywhere that the general public wouldn't have been allowed to.
Must go back to the Swiss Garden in grander attire to have a "camera-tart" day sometime; the perfect location for dressing up!!
