First day back in work after a wonderful weekend in Lincoln for the Asylum.  Trying not to think of the fact that I've no more days off booked until the end of November!

Somehow managed to not take as many photos as usual, only 250 pics on my camera for this year!  Still, its going to take a while to work through them, with the Berlin pics to finish first and no doubt a whole stack more next weekend for London Open House weekend.

Anyway the weekend was fantastic.  Friday night rather frenetic, catching up with so many people, that I barely had a moment to relax!  Not sure where Saturday went but we did manage to attend Mick and Esme's Waltz Workshop - another style of dance that Rob and I have managed to completely massacre!  Other than that, most of the day was spent sitting outside chatting to people, it appears; we didn't even make it as far as the Victoria (our usual base camp for Saturday daytime the past two years!)
The ball was lovely, Sunday daytime disappeared once again and for the first time, we stayed Sunday night to partake in the Dead Dog Party, which was fantastically good fun.

Outfit wise, I was very pleased with how my Saturday daytime outfit was received in general (barring just one rather odd reaction, from someone who appeared to have issue with the fact that our outfits were of a similar theme!).
Had a slight wardrobe malfunction with my ballgown bodice - my hair extensions kept catching on the fastenings and undoing them!  Fortunately no embarrasing exposure moments but a tad frustrating.  Never using hooks and eyes again!

We managed a bit of sightseeing either end of the weekend - Heckington Windmill (and 8 Sails Brewery) on the way up and Tattershall Castle on the way back.  the latter being a rather foolhardy expedition, travelling across flat, exposed Fens in near gale force winds!  A difficult drive for Rob and rather blowy at the castle summit!
A very tired journey back with lots of rest stops and a slight spending spree in Market Deeping Antiques Market.

Photos to follow soon, once again, when I get a moment of spare time to go through them.
