sewing plans!
7 March 2013 13:23I had my first physio appointment today (not much of interest to write about there), so had a nice late start this morning to wait for my appointment, which resulted in my killing some time doing some shopping! *slaps wrist* :-)
I had been rather tempted by the awesomeness of this fabric

to the extent that I'd started to plot an outfit around it; so a purchase had to be made - a bit more expensive than I'd intended for this month but I've missed out on these limited edition fabrics in the past and didn't want to risk Import Duty by purchasing it cheaper from the US.
I then started to purchase the bits and pieces I need for another sewing project; kind of making up my own cage crinoline to wrap with some gorgeous burn-out mesh fabric I bought last year. Not really sure what I'm doing but I have an idea in my head and so far working out cheaper than buying the kit from Vena Cava. So, fingers crossed!
This does mean that the skull toile-de-jouy Polonaise project is getting pushed back. Figured I'd be rushing it to make for the Pinewood Ball in April (and I also have a perfectly suitable beetle wing dress which needs another outing) and still wavering about the idea of me in a predominately white outfit. Not the most slimming of colours! ;-)
Maybe for WGT, maybe not, will see how the other two outfits go. At the moment, getting rather tempted to just book a week off work for a stay-at-home sewing holiday, so many ideas, so little free time!
