Sunday morning.
Due to exhaustion the night before, we ended up going to bed with the curtains open, therefore got woken by daylight. :-(
Tidied up the bombsite of a room, managing to pack everything in the cases and went out for breakfast (unsurprisingly, the only ones of our group!)
After a few text messages made plans to go to the Mayer Van De Burgh museum, so Rob and I first had a little wander round the market before checking out of hotel and meeting up with the rest.
Squee, found out why market is called the Bird Market!
bunnies too!
after that distraction, we had to dash to get back to the hotel in time!
Headed to the museum, which was small but rather lovely.
couldn't take pics inside but it was a neo-gothic house with private art collection, featuring lots of amazing Flemish grotesque art including Bruegel's Mad Meg
Went in search of much needed coffee and ended up in the Foyer - the swanky cafe which is part of the Theatre. Rather lovely decor and great service (not quite as pricey as we were expecting eiter), a great way to end the trip.
all too soon it was time to leave, so we headed back to our hotel to collect our belongings and make the train journey back. All over for another year - can't wait until the next one!
